Advantages of Electrostatic Flocking

1. Heat Insulation

Flock is an excellent heat insulant. This property is used, for instance, for an outer coating of sauna heaters, or for warming parts of copying machines.

2. Soundproofing

Surfaces and objects modified by flock absorb sound in the full tone register, which enables their wide use in, for instance, recording studios. Flock even prevents mechanical noise, it is therefore used for tachometer relining, etc.

3. Colour Retention

High colour retention in the light is assured by quality individual flock fibre engraining and it meets the strictest norms that are laid down by the automobile industry. WARNING: UV radiation lowers colour stability of reflection flock!

4. Endlessly Wide Colour Range

It is possible to produce practically any shade of colour in addition to the basic colour range. Furthermore, the mixing of two or more colours is possible, by which it is possible to get a highlighted shade with a very good covering of broken and uneven surfaces.

5. Fire Resistance

Polyamide and polyester flock are assessed as highly uninflammable materials.

6. Humidity Resistance

Condensed water formation does not occur between individual flock fibres, which is useful especially on the roofs of mobile homes, ceilings of storage halls, etc.

7. Environmental and Ageing Resistance

Textile staple manufactured from polyamide or polyester fibre keeps its production properties even during the action of extrinsic factors. Here, the same applies as in colour retention.

8. Dust and Fume Resistance

Permanent static charge resists dust and other micro-particle deposition on the flock surface, which continually ensures its clean and fresh appearance.

9. Abrasion and Scratch Resistance

Thanks to this property the flock may be used as an upholstery covering material for seating groups or in the guard bends and seal rails of car doors and windows.

10. Antiskid Properties

Antiskid flock properties are used, for instance, during the manufacture of tabletops that are used under tablecloths, in cleaning mats and rugs, or for antiskid power transmission, for instance in gearboxes and gears.

11. Simple Maintenance

Maintenance and cleaning can be performed using ordinary detergents; textile designs on T-shirts and ready-made clothes withstand regular washing.
